I love having a few busy bags made up, ready to go, for when you just need a focused 5 minutes! These are 6 autumnal-themed ones I’ve got set up currently.

The important thing about busy bags is that you TEACH your child HOW to do the activities before you give it to them to do independently. It also helps to keep them similar to ones you’ve done before, again, so they can be done independently, with confidence.

Autumn Sensory Shaker Bottles 🍂 • @theknowandplayspace

Empty water bottles + autumnal loose parts = super simple sensory play idea!!

Baby R has loved shaking, rolling and observing these. I deliberately added loose parts that would make different noises, but also would mean the bottles had different weights. The faux leaves in fact make no noise, but do move when he shakes the bottle which has caused a lot of curiosity and investigation!

What’s even better is that I can use the bottles for an activity in my ‘Autumn’ Play & Learn Guide with Mr 4 too… a win win when I get one resource that does multiple age ranges!!
