"Oh, he’s here and we can hear him, Brother Wind,

Oh, he’s here and we can hear him, Brother Wind,

Listen now, he’s loud and clear,

Whooshing through the atmosphere,

Oh, he’s here and we can hear him, Brother Wind!"

Here are four activities you could do to celebrate the season this week - linked to Chapter 7: The Arrival of Brother Wind. If you haven't read Chapter 1 though yet, you can download this for free HERE.

The full Wondrous Enrichment Curriculum will be coming next autumn, but for now, you can follow along with inspiration activities for each chapter within these blog posts, and over on @theknowandplayspace on Instagram.

Activtiy photos coming soon!

  1. DIY Windmill

Print off the windmill template and cut it out along the dotted lines. Decorate the windmill with colourful patterns on both sides. Put a lump of blue tack under the little circles and poke a hole through them using a pencil/skewer, or you could use a single hole hole punch instead. Fold each corner towards the centre, pushing a brass paper fastener through all five holes - turning the paper into the windmill shape. Thread a small bead onto the back of the paper fastener, then poke it through a piece of thick cardbord, a tube, or a straw. Fold the ends of the paper fastener out so that it doesn't come back out and is secured. Blow on your windmill to test it spins, otherwise you can adjust the gaps on the fastener slightly so that it doesn't rub on anything.
