The Woodland Reader Club
'Reading Roots'Stage 2
The Woodland Reader Club's Reading Roots - Stage 2 is a small group phonics class for children aged around 4 to 6, who are ready to begin to read.
Inside the Reading Roots class, children will:

Continue to develop the essential listening and sound awareness skills that form the foundation of reading (begun at Stage 1)

Make those first exciting links between letters and sounds, progressing onto blending to read and segmenting to spell throughout the year

Be guided by The Know & Play Space's carefully, and expertly curated, phonics programme - The Woodland Reader

Build confidence and joy around reading from the very beginning

Learn through a magical approach of play-based learning, songs, rhymes, stories and hands-on exploration
Classes are kept intentionally small so that every child receives genuine attention and the sessions can truly follow their journeys.

The Wonder & Wild Club is a small group nature-based class for children on, what The Know & Play Space calls 'The Tree Pathway', so around the ages of 5-7 years.
